Police recover youth's body

Police have recovered the body of a 22-year-old man from a flat in Kodomtola of Dhaka's Basabo, reports bdnews24.com.

The man has been identified as Yogen Gonzales, said Rashed Hasan, senior assistant police commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

The victim's hands and legs were tied using an 'Orna' or scarf, he said.

There were wounds on his body inflicted by a sharp weapon. A former student of the Notre Dame College, Gonzales was expelled for not attending his classes regularly. He had rented the flat in Kodomtola on Feb 01.

During his interaction with the landlord, he had introduced a woman as his sister, who he said would be living with him in the flat.

But they did not stay in the flat regularly, said the police official citing the landlord.
