Polls atmosphere not congenial, says Manna

Jatiya Oikya Front leader Mahmudur Rahman Manna said on Sunday the situation now prevailing in the country is not congenial for holding a free and fair election.

"This is not the right environment for a fair election. If this situation continues and the people of the country burst into anger, the ruling party will be responsible," he said.

Manna, also the Nagarik Oikya convener, came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda at Nirbachan Bhaban.

He also informed the CEC about attack on, harassment of his supporters and activists at his election constituency Bagura-2.
