Separate incidents in Ctg kill three

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 13 (BSS): Three persons were killed in separate incidents in the city and district last night and today.

Among the victims two were identified as Ripon Singh, 31, a cashier of Excise and Vat Commissioner at Chattogram Custom office and son of Khudiram Sing of city's Askar Digirpar area and Abul Kalam Azad, 26, hailed from North Kottali area in the city.

Officer-in-Charge of Patenga police station Utpal Barua said police recovered the body of Ripon Singh from near Charpara on the bank of the Karnafuli River in the city on Friday night.

OC Utpal Barua said the reason behind the incident will be known after getting autopsy report and police investigation.

In another incident, youth Azad was electrocuted at city's north Kottali area on Saturday when he was connecting an electric light at his residence, police said.

Besides, police recovered another unidentified body aged about 35 from Karnaphuli River in the city on Friday night, OC Utpal Barua said.

The bodies were sent to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
