Separate incidents kill four in Chattogram

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 24 (BSS): Four people, including a teacher and a cop, were killed in separate incidents in the city and district last night and on Monday.

In the first incident, an on duty traffic constable Aman Ullah, 52, was run over by a bus near Foy's Lake gate in the city around last night.

A 'Shyamoli Paribahan' bus hit Aman when he was discharging his duty around 9.00 pm, said Alauddin Talukder, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMHC) police camp.

Locals rushed him to the hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead.

In another incident, a government primary school teacher Borna Barua, 30, received serious injury after being hit by a city- bound passenger bus in Monoshartek area under Patiya upazila of the district at 10 am on Monday.

She succumbed to her injuries at CMCH after admission at 2.00 pm, said Alauddin Talukder.

Besides, housewife Khurshida Begum, 45, wife of Abdul Mannan was electrocuted at her residence in Charondwip area under Boalkhali upazila of the district at 5.00 am on Monday.

Meanwhile, divers of Fire Service recovered a body of an adolescent identified as Uzzol,13, from the water of Muhuri Project under Mirarsari upazila at 11.00 am on Moday.
