Speaker recalls journo Zaglul's analytical power

Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury urged the young journalists to acquire knowledge on International relations and regional diplomacy like renowned journalist late Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury.

Extolling Zaglul, she also said the journalist attained vast knowledge on the South Asian politics and international relations through his life-long journalism.

The Speaker's remarks came on Saturday at a book launching ceremony styled Late Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury's Nirbachito Kolam( selected Columns) held at the CIRDAP auditorium in the city.

Journalist Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury Memorial Trust organised the ceremony. Food Minister Qamrul Islam, who is also the president of the Trust, chaired the launching ceremony. Speaking at the function as the chief guest, the Speaker said Zaglul's analytical power on regional South Asian politics, diplomacy and international relations was truly praiseworthy. Qamrul Islam termed Journalist Zaglul patriotic and non-communal and urged all to come forward with the help and support for the welfare of the Trust.

Shyamal Dutta, secretary general of the Trust and also editor of the Daily Bhorer Kagoj, conducted the programme.
