Steps taken to improve service quality in police stations: IGP

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Javed Patwary said on Sunday several effective steps have been taken to improve the quality of service in the police stations, aiming to build a people -friendly police system in the country, reports UNB.

"There has always been a change in the society. People's expectations and demands are also increasing.

In order to provide the best services to the people, changes are being made to policing.

We are committed to building a people-friendly police system," the IGP said while addressing the inaugural function of a five-day training workshop at theConference Centre of Police Staff College (PSC) at Mirpur in the city.

PSC Rector (Additional IGP) Dr M Sadiqur Rahman presided over the programme, while Director General of Governance Innovation Unit of the Prime Minister's Office Mohammad Abdul Halim and Additional IGP Mohsin Hossain were present as special guests in the programme.

The IGP said that innovation training has been organised aiming to provide easy and quickest access to public services.
