Submit report on risky school, madrasa buildings: HC

The High Court (HC) asked on Tuesday authorities concerned to submit a report on risky school and madrasa buildings across the country, reports BSS.

An HC bench of Justice JBM Hassan and Justice Md Khairul Alam passed the order after holding hearing on a writ petition filed in this regard. Rights group Law and Life Foundation filed the writ.

The court asked secretary of Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives and its chief engineer to conduct a survey and submit a report on it within three months.

The HC also ordered them to identify the risky buildings and make those safe and environment-friendly after renovation.
