Three get life term for rape in C'nawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Apr 4 (UNB): A court here on Wednesday sentenced three people to life term imprisonment for raping a woman at Hossain Dying area in Sadar Upazila in 2015.

The lifers are Sohel Babu (27), son of Kasimuddin, Dabir Ali (28), son of Bishu Khalifa and Aminul Islam, (23), son of Faring Biswas, all three hailing from Chunakhali village in the Upazila.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Md Ziaur Rahman handed down the verdict.

The court also fined them Tk 0.1 million (1 lakh) each, in default, to suffer one year more RI.
