Two books of Prof Anwarullah come out

Two new books authored by former Dhaka University (DU) vice-chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Anwarullah Chowdhury were launched at a ceremony held in the city on Sunday.

The books are an autobiography named 'Ja Dekhechhi Ja Peyechhi' (What I observed, what I achieved), and an anthology titled 'Bangalir Somajchinta O Onyanyo Proshongo' (The Social thought of Bengalis and other issues).

Presided over by former DU VC Emajuddin Ahamed, the ceremony was attended by the writer Dr Anwarullah Chowdhury, former Bangla Academy director general (DG) Prof Mansur Musa, founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Zafrullah Chowdhury, and poet Abdul Hye Sikdar, among others.

Discussants at the ceremony admired the author for his excellent writing style as well as for the contents, which will help any interested reader know about the country's history, politics and social development.
