Awami League (AL) general secretary Obaidul Quader said on Tuesday the perpetrators of 1/11 are hatching conspiracies again over the next parliamentary elections, reports BSS.

"BNP is now active along with the perpetrators of 1/11. They are busy hatching conspiracy," he said.

The AL leader made the comments while speaking at a press conference after a joint meeting at the AL President's Dhanmondi political office in the city.

The members of AL secretariat and presidents and general secretaries of associate bodies of the party attended the meeting.

Quader said, "We have all information about their conspiracies…The people of the country will resist them."

He said BNP is holding separate meetings at different places of the city at midnight. "They (BNP) think, we don't know anything…But we have all information about their secret meetings," he added.

The AL general secretary said, "We have no headache whether BNP will take part or not in the next polls. It's up to BNP and we have nothing to say about it."

About the treatment of Begum Khaleda Zia, the minister said BNP wants army in election. But they have no interest in their (army) hospital, he added.

Quader said CMH is a hospital with maximum facilities. "We do not know why she does not want to receive treatment there," he said.
