ACC interrogates nine Farmers Bank officials

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday grilled nine officials of Farmers Bank (currently Padma Bank) as part of investigating embezzlement of huge funds from the bank.
The officials quizzed were - the bank's Sherpur branch operations manager ADM Solaiman, credit officers Kamrul Islam, Imam Hossain and Md Abdullah, and trainee assistant officer Abu Nayem.
The other officials are the bank's principal branch senior vice-president (corporate banking division) Alok Kumar Biswas, head of human resource development Rita Sen, senior vice-president Shahjahan Amin and Gulshan branch head of CAD Ashish Kumar Lasker.
ACC deputy director Shamsul Alam conducted the interrogation from 10am to 2:00pm at the commission headquarters in the city's Segunbagicha.
