AL-JL clash hurts five in Savar

SAVAR, June 20 (UNB): Five people were injured in a clash between the activists of Awami League and Jubo League (JL) over a trifling matter at Kaliakoir village in Savar, on the outskirt of the capital, early Wednesday.

Locals said the clash ensued among the supporters of Samad Mollah, general secretary of Birulia union unit Awami League, and Salim Mandal, president of Savar unit Jubo League, over supplying materials to an under-construction factory.

At one stage, both the groups attacked each other around 12 am, leaving five people injured.
