BCL infighting injures nine in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, Jan 30 (UNB): At least nine leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were injured in a factional clash over formation of the sub-committees in Shahrasti upazila on Tuesday evening.

The injured are upazila unit president Emadadul Huque Milon, general secretary Md Sohel Hossain, activists Al Amin, Saiful Islam, Kazi Yead, Shohag Hossain, Robiul Islam, Rafiqul Islam and Sohel.

The followers of BCL upazila unit president Emdadul Huque Milon and general secretary Md Sohel Hossain locked into an altercation at a meeting arranged to form the new committee around 6:00 pm, said Mohammad Shah Alam, officer-in-charge of Shahrasti thana.
