BCL, PCJSS activists shot dead in Rangamati

RANGAMATI, Feb 04 (UNB): An activist of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samity (PCJSS) and another of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were shot dead at Raikhali Karigarpara in Kaptai upazila of the district on Monday.

The dead were identified as PCJSS activist Mongshenu Marma and his friend, BCL activist Zahid.

A group of armed men swooped on them and opened fire, killing both on the spot, said Ashraf Uddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chandraghona thana.

Police said they suspect the killings might be linked to a feud over establishing supremacy in the area.
