BNP continuing violence, alleges Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said BNP is continuing violent activities which the party began in front of its Naya Paltan office in the capital centering the 11th parliamentary election, reports BSS.

"BNP is waning day by day for its negative politics. They began violent activities at Naya Paltan which is continuing till now," he said, speaking at a meeting at AL president's political office in city's Dhanmondi.

AL Publicity and Publication Sub-Committee organized the meeting marking the upcoming general election with the sub-committee Chairman HT Imam in the chair.

Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said, "BNP and Jamaat have started their violence and terrorism. They killed our two leaders on Tuesday."

He said BNP is misleading the people. They have begun misleading and violent activities failing to get respond from the countrymen, he added.

The AL general secretary said BNP leaders held processions against BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir over 'nomination businesses.

The upcoming polls will be held cent percent peacefully, he said and urged the BNP leaders to come to the path of peace shunning violence.

AL Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud delivered the welcome speech in the meeting while Deputy Publicity and Publication Secretary Aminul Islam Amin conducted it.
