BNP leader Major Mizan on remand

A court here on Wednesday put BNP central executive committee member Major (retd) Mizanur Rahman on a two-day remand in a case filed for his 'evil efforts' to make Gazipur election controversial, reports UNB.

Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Mazharul Haq passed the order.

The court also placed three other accused in the case a one-day remand each.
