Cops nab Jubo Dal man over PM’s photo distortion

MUNSHIGANJ, June 02 (UNB): Police on Friday arrested a Jubo Dal man for shared distorted pictures of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on social media sites.

The arrestee Sohel Molla, 38, son of Masud Molla of Suapara village in Tongibari upazila is an active member of sadar Jubo Dal unit.

Yeardousi Hasan, officer-in-charge of Tongibari Police Station, said Sohel shared distorted pictures along with derogatory comments on three Facebook IDs.

Following this incident, Tongibari upazila vice chairman and Awami League leader Emili Parveen filed a case with the police station under Bangladesh Information and Communication Technology Act accusing Sohel.

Later, police arrested him, the OC added.
