Court extends Khaleda's bail until March 13

A Dhaka court extended on Monday the bail of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia until March 13 in the Zia Charitable Trust graft case, reports BSS.

Dhaka Special Judge Court-5 passed the order allowing a petition filed by the defence in the case.

"The court set March 13, 14 for hearing the arguments in the case and also extended the bail of Khaleda Zia until that day," said defence counsel Advocate Abdur Rezak Khan.

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case with the city's Tejgaon thana on August 8, 2010 over embezzlement of Tk 31million. Police on January 16, 2012 filed charge-sheet against four including the BNP chaiperson.
