Ctg RO to meet election candidates on December 17

CHATTOGRAM, Dec 12: The returning officer and deputy commissioner of Chattogram, Ilyas Hossain, will hold a view- exchange meeting with the candidates from 10 constituencies of the district on December 17.

Senior District Election Officer of Election Commission, Chattogram region Md Munir Hossain said this in a statement.

Hossain said the RO of Chattogram district will hold a meeting with 66 candidates from 10 parliamentary seats in the morning of December 17 at the conference room of the DC Office.

He will exchange views with the candidates, hear their grievances and allegations, if there are any, and resolve the issues through consultation with all stakeholders so that the upcoming election is held peacefully and in a free and fair atmosphere.

All election officials, assistant returning officers and returning officers under the 10 constituencies of Chattogram will also attend the meeting.

A total of 66 candidates are contesting in 10 constituencies and they have been distributed symbols for the election scheduled for December 30, Hossain said.
