August 20, 2019 00:00:00

Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote demanded on Monday that fugitive convicts in the August 21 grenade attack cases, who are hiding abroad, be brought back home to execute the verdict against them, reports UNB.

It made the demand from a human chain and rally arranged in front of the National Press Club.

Vice-president of the Jote and actor Rokeya Prachy who presided over the event said the grisly attack was carried out to annihilate the leadership.

Actor Tarin Zahan, singers Rafiqul Islam and SD Rubel were present at the event, among others.

On October 10 last year, the Speedy Trial Tribunal sentenced 19 people, including former State Minister for Home Lutfozzaman Babar and former Deputy Minister for Education Abdus Salam Pintu, to death .
