The international community is happy over the participation of all the political parties in the upcoming elections, said the Bikalpadhara spokesperson Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury on Monday.
"We have exchanged views with the diplomats and briefed them about our party's policy regarding the election. They are happy that the upcoming election is going to be held in a participatory manner," Shamsher Mobin told newsmen.
Mission heads and their representatives like USA, EU, China, Canada, France, Australia, Germany and Sweden met with Bikalpadhara leaders at the residence of party president Dr Badruddoza Chowdhury.
The diplomats said they want to see a free, fair and credible election in a peaceful manner, he added.
Bikalpadhara leaders told them that they were not yet satisfied with the prevailing situation and they felt that something more needed to be done to create a conducive environment for elections.
"We told them that we are planning to meet the CEC to apprise him of our observations".
Responding to a question Shamsher Mobin said that Bikalpadhara will announce its election manifesto soon.
We will propose some changes in the present parliamentary system in our manifesto, he added.
