Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad, accompanied by party secretary general Mashiur Rahman Ranga, leaving his Baridhara residence in the city for Singapore on Sunday morning to receive treatment. Jatiya Party chairman and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament HM Ershad and Jatiya Oikya Front Convener Dr Kamal Hossain left Dhaka for Singapore on Sunday and Saturday respectively for medical checkup, reports UNB.
Ershad along with his younger brother Hossain Morshed, his wife Roksana Khan Moreshed and party presidium member Major (retd) Khaled Akhter left Shahjalal International Airport by a Singapore Airlines flight around 12:40 pm, said a press release issued on Sunday.
Jatiya Party cochairman GM Quader, its secretary general Mashiur Rahman Ranga, presidium member Ziauddin Bablu and others saw him off at the airport.
Earlier in a statement released on Friday, the Jatiya Party chairman said its cochairman GM Quader will lead the party as its head when HM Ershad will go abroad for medical treatment.
Jatiya Oikya Front leader Dr Kamal Hossain flew to Singapore on Saturday night for medical purposes.
Dr Kamal along with his wife Hameeda Hossain left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a Singapore Airlines flight at 10:30pm, said senior Gono Forum - political party headed by Dr Hossain- leader Ameen Ahmed Afsary.
