Govt taking all-out steps to face dengue: Nasim

The government is taking all-out measures as per the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to control the dengue situation, said Awami League (AL) presidium member and spokesperson of central 14-party alliance Mohammad Nasim, reports BSS.

"We will overcome the situation as our doctors are working relentlessly to face the dengue. We will be able to free the country from dengue though it is a time-consuming matter," he said.

The AL leader came up with the remarks while talking to journalists after visiting Dhaka Shishu Hospital in the city on Tuesday.

He said doctors and nurses are providing treatment sincerely to dengue patients in all hospitals of the capital and other parts of the country. He urged the people concerned to follow advices of doctors and take medicines and food properly.

"There is nothing to be panicked about. . . follow advices of doctors to face the situation," said Nasim.

Former Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haq said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is monitoring the overall situation and the government is extending all-out support and cooperation to face the dengue situation.

Prof Dr Abdul Aziz, MP, and Prof Dr Syed Safi Ahmed Muaz were also present.
