HC asks BNP's Shimul Biswas to surrender

The High Court (HC) ordered on Monday BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's special assistant Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas to surrender before a lower court within two weeks in a case lodged over obstructing police in performing their duties, reports BSS.

An HC bench of Justice Jahangir Hossain and Justice Md Riaz Uddin Khan passed the order after holding hearing on a bail plea for Biswas in the case.

Police filed the case with Shahbagh thana for allegedly obstructing police in observing their duties while Khaleda Zia was on her way to appear before a court on November 16, 2017.
