Injured in pre-poll violence, JL man dies in Chuadanga

A Jubo League (JL) activist who had been receiving treatment for ten days succumbed to his injuries at a Dhaka hospital on Monday, reports bdnews24.com.

He was wounded in a bomb attack on an Awami League campaign in Jibonnagar upazila of Chuadanga prior to the December 30 elections.

Ringku Mia (32) died at a Dhaka hospital on Monday afternoon, said Sheikh Gani Mia, chief of Jibannagar thana.

Rinku, a resident of Katapole village in Jibannagar, was a JL activist, said Abdul Latif Amal, president of local Awami League wing in Jibannagar municipality.

"He had been admitted to Labaid Specialised Hospital in Dhaka."
