JP wants to fill vacuum in politics: GM Quader

July 30, 2019 00:00:00

Jatiya Party (JP) chairman GM Quader said on Monday his party will remain active both in parliament and on the streets with the issues relating to people's rights to fill the prevailing political vacuum, reports UNB.

"Now, many political parties aren't there on the streets to talk about people's rights. To fill such a political vacuum, Jatiya Party will earn people's confidence through a systematic and peaceful movement both in parliament and on the streets to ensure their rights," he said.

Quader came up with the remarks while exchanging views with the leaders of the party's Chattogram city unit at its Banani office in the city.

He said his party will also do politics to fulfil people's hopes and aspirations so that it can be turned into a strong political force in the next general election.

The JP chairman urged his party leaders and activists to work hard for making their grassroots stronger further.

He also called upon the Chattogram city unit JP leaders and activists to work in unison to strengthen their organisational capacity ahead of city corporation polls.

Meanwhile, a five-member coordination committee has been formed to put forward recommendations for reinforcing the organisational activities of Jatiya Party's district units under the Chattogram division.

GM Quader constituted the committee headed by Party presidium member Kazi Firoz Rashid.
