JS constitutes five standing committees

The Jatiya Sangsad (JS) constituted on Monday five parliamentary standing committees for the 11th parliament, reports UNB.

The committees are House Committee, Stan-ding Committee on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry, Standing Commi-ttee on Planning Ministry, Standing Commi-ttee on Defence Ministry and Standing Committee on Land Ministry.

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury formed the House Committee where Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury will be the chairman.

Abdul Matin Khasru will lead the Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry while Abul Kalam Azad will head the Standing Committee on Planning Ministry, Subid Ali Bhuiyan the Standing Committee on Defence Ministry while Moqbul Hossain will lead the Standing Committee on Land Ministry.
