KCC returning officer biased towards a party: HT Imam

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Political Adviser HT Imam alleged on Wednesday the activity and behaviour of the returning officer of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) was biased towards a particular party, reports UNB.

While talking to the reporters after concluding a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda at Nirbachon Bhaban, the co-chairman of AL Election Sub-committee made the allegation.

Conveying no confidence on the activities of KCC returning officer, HT Imam said, "His (KCC returning officer) past is very dark, he had been cadre of a political party which is evident in his behaviour and activities."

"In Khulna City Corporation, level playing field was not established yet, our leaders can't take part in election campaign while other parties are easily participating in the electoral campaigns", he alleged.
