Miscreants stab BNP leader in Sylhet

SYLHET, Aug 27 (UNB): A local BNP leader was stabbed by miscreants in Shahi Eidgah area of the city on Sunday night.

The injured is Sazzad Hossain (45), son of Tayeb Ali, a committee member of city BNP.

Mohammad Abdul Wahab, additional deputy commissioner (media) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police, said a gang of miscreants attacked Sazzad in the area around 8:00 pm and stabbed him, leaving him injured.

The injured is now undergoing treatment at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital.
