New FF scrutiny committees soon, says minister

KURIGRAM, Jan 20 (BSS): Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque on Saturday said new freedom fighters (FF) scrutiny committees will be formed after cancelling some committees which were not constituted properly.

"Around 6,000 fake certificates have already been cancelled after scrutiny...the scrutiny committees which were not constituted properly will also be cancelled soon," he told reporters at Nageshwari in the district.

Earlier, the minister inaugurated a free treatment and blood donation camp there with upazila Awami League President Mozammel Haque Prodhan in the chair.

AL General Secretary and Zila Parishad Chairman Md Jafar Ali, Deputy Commissioner Abu Sareha Md Ferdows Khan, District Muktijoddha Commander Sirajul Islam Tuku and local Awami League leader Dr AHM Suman Prodhan, among others, were present in the inaugural function.
