Next election under PM Sheikh Hasina: Nasim

FENI, May 13 (BSS): Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim said on Sunday the next general election will be held under Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina as per the constitution.

"There is no doubt that the election will be held under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," he said.

Nasim, also the spokesperson of 14-party alliance, came up with the observations at a view-exchange meeting at Feni circuit house.

District Awami League (AL) president Abdur Rahman presided over meeting. while Jahanara Begum Surma, MP, Shirin Akhter, MP, and former minister Dilip Barua, among others, atended it.

Nasim, also an AL presidium member, urged leaders and activists of 14-party alliance to remain united and work to further strengthen the alliance.

The health minister later laid the foundation stone of Fulgazi Upazila Health Complex, which is being turned into a 50-bed hospital from a 31-bed one.

He also addressed a rally organised by Fulgazi upazila unit of Awami League at Notun Munshir Haat School playground.

The general election in the country is scheduled to be held by the end of the year.
