Oikyafront to mark 1st founding anniv Oct 13

Jatiya Oikyafront will observe its first founding anniversary on October 13 by holding a discussion in the city, reports UNB.

The steering committee of the alliance took the decision at a meeting at its convener Dr Kamal Hossain's Motijheel chamber on Sunday afternoon.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD-Rob) President ASM Abdur Rob said their discussion meeting will be held at the National Press Club with Dr Kamal in the chair.

"We'll work out our next course of action after observing our founding anniversary. The current situation in the country won't improve without the formation of a national government dislodging the gambler regime," he said.

He said people are fed-up with the government activities, and they are ready to take to the streets.

On October 13 last year, BNP, Gonoforum, Nagorik Oikya, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal and Jatiya Oikya Prokriya floated the anti-government alliance, Jatiya Oikyafront, led by Kamal Hossain ahead of the 11th parliamentary election.
