Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina expressed on Wednesday deep shock at the death of freedom fighter Sheikh Shahabuddin, adviser of Mymensingh district Awami League and a prominent sports organiser, report agencies.
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister (PM) prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Sheikh Shahabuddin died at his Mohammadpur residence at 4:00 pm at the age of 70.
He left behind his wife, two sons and three daughters as well as a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Meanwhile, the PM expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Meer
Abdul Hannan, the Liberation War Affairs Secretary of Feni District Awami League.
In a condolence message, she prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Hannan, also the Feni District Freedom Fighters' Commander, died at a hospital in the capital on Wednesday morning at the age of 72.
He left behind his wife, two sons and two daughters as well as a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death, an AL press release said.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Hasina expressed shock at the death Md Ali Akbar Hawlader, father of Moshiur Rahman Shihab, a member of the AL Sub-Committee on Agriculture and Cooperatives.
She also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
