Police arrest 65 in Jashore anti-drug drive

JASHORE, May 23 (UNB): Police arrested 65 drug dealers and drug addicts in an anti-drug drive at different parts of the district from Tuesday night to Wednesday noon.

Of them, 28 were arrested in Sadar upazila while three in Chougachha, five in Sharsha, six in Jhikargachha, 12 in Keshabpur, seven in Manirampur, three in Abhaynagar and one was held in Bagharpara upazila, said Jashore Police Super Anisur Rahman.

Some of the arrestees are also accused in different cases, he said.
