SCF condemns violence in Bhola over Facebook post

Sector Commanders Forum-Muktijuddho '71 has condemned the recent violence erupted in Borhanuddin of Bhola district over a Facebook post that reportedly hurt religious sentiment, reports BSS.

SCF, the pro-liberation platform, in a statement said it thinks the communal violence took place in Bhola on Sunday was planned.

A communal provocation had been spread using Facebook in a planned way so that the minority community suffers from insecurity there, the forum said.

If someone hurts religious sentiment of anyone, legal steps could be taken against his or her, the statement said.

A vested quarter is trying to create anarchy and social instability by spreading rumours over religious issues, it added.

SCF demanded the government to take necessary actions against those involved in the violence in Borhanuddin.
