Tallest sculpture of Bangabandhu to be erected in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, Feb 04 (UNB): The tallest sculpture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of the country's independence, will be built in the district.

Renowned sculptor Mrinal Haque will erect the 100-foot sculpture on a piece of land beside the tennis ground of the Deputy Commissioner's office in the town, said Deputy Commissioner of the district Gopal Chandra Das.

Gopal Chandra Das said a long-cherished desire of Chuadanga residents is going to be fulfilled with the erection of the sculpture of Bangabandhu.

Once completed, it will be the tallest sculpture of Bangabandhu in the country.
