Tofail for DUCSU election to create new leadership

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said on Wednesday elections to DUCSU and other educational institutions should be held to develop new leadership in the country, reports BSS.

"New leadership will be created with the ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Youths are the asset of the nation; they should go ahead with the ideology of Bangabandhu," he said.

The minister made the comments while speaking at a discussion organised by Hasumonir Pathshala in the city.

President of the organisation Marufa Akhter Popy presided over the discussion.

Tofail said the next parliament election will be held under the present government.

There is no scope to raise question about the present election commission as this commission has been formed through a search committee, he said.

The commission will conduct the next national election as per the constitution, the minister added.
