BD flag carrier ship rescues Indian fisherman from Bay

CHATTOGRAM, July 11: Bangladeshi flag carrier ship MV Jawad rescued a floating Indian fisherman from the Bay of Bengal in Kutubdia channel on Wednesday.
The rescued fisherman was identified as Rabindra Nath Das alias Kanu Das of 24 Porgonas in India.
Seamen of M V Jawad saw that one person was floating in the water of the Bay in Kutubdia channel and they threw the Boya and sent boats to rescue him.
The seamen also informed the matter to the Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Coast Guard.
However, they rescued the victim alive and gave him primary treatment on the ship.
The victim informed the seamen of MV Jawad that he is a fisherman and he came for fishing on Bay 10 days ago.
But his boat sunk into the Bay along with 10 fishermen.
He was floating on the water while he did not know the fate of the rest his associates.
Bangladeshi flag carrier ship MV Jawad is owned by SR Shipping Limited, a concern of KSRM group in Chattogram. CEO of KSRM group Meherul Karim said, "Our seamen rescued the Indian fisherman and next process to handover the victim to his country is undergoing now."
