Capacity building of the local communities on disaster management can lessen the negative impact of climate change, experts opined at a conference in the city on Friday.
They gave the opinion at the closing ceremony of the three-day International Climate Knowledge Conference held at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).
International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) organised the conference, said a press release.
ICCCAD director Dr Saleemul Huq highlighted the importance of proper studies on disaster management, wetland management, measuring loss and damage, natural resource management (NRM), renewable energy and resilient livelihood.
