House construction under Ashrayan-2 project begins in Jhenidah

JHENIDAH, June 13: Construction of houses for those who have land but no house under the Ashrayan-2 project was inaugurated in the district on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner of the district Saroj Kumar Nath inaugurated the construction in Purba Krishnapur village of Surat union under Jhenidah Sadar.
A total of 218 ultra-poor families under 67 union councils of six upazilas will get news houses under the project.
Construction of each house will cost Tk 0.1 million.
Sadar upazila UNO Shammi Islam, project implementation officer Shuvagato Biswas, Surat union chairman Kabir Hossain Zoarder were, among others, present on the occasion.
