Journalist Abdus Salam's 41st death anniversary today

The 41st death anniversary of eminent journalist Abdus Salam, former editor of English daily The Bangladesh Observer (now defunct), will be observed in the capital today (Tuesday).
A milad mahfil will be held on the Banani graveyard premises in this connection, said a press release.
Another milad mahfil will be held at the Dhanmandi residence of Abdus Salam after Magrib prayers tomorrow (Wednesday).
Bangladesh Gano Azadi League, Spriha Samajik Sanskritik Andolan and other organisations will also organise different programmes on the occasion.
The cover of a commemorative book on him titled 'Smrity Arpan 1977-2018' will be unveiled at a function to be held next month.
