Khaleda challenges penalty in Zia Orphanage case

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia filed on Thursday an appeal with the Supreme Court challenging the High Court (HC) verdict in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case, report agencies.
On behalf of Khaleda Zia, a former prime minister, lawyer Kaisar Kamal filed the petition in the morning.
Khaleda Zia also sought bail and a stay order on the effectiveness of her punishment in the petition
