SIRAJGANJ, May 15, (BSS): Awami League (AL) presidium member Mohammad Nasim said on Tuesday Khulna City Corporation (KCC) election was held in a free, fair and peaceful manner.
"The KCC election was free, fair and peaceful, but the BNP leaders are spreading falsehood without any reason as it is its old habit," he said.
Nasim made the comments after visiting the under-construction 500-bed hospital 'Shaheed M Mansur Ali Medical College' at Shialkol.
There is no alternative to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government to establish political stability and keep peace and development in the country, he said urging the countrymen to cast their vote for the party in the next general election.
Deputy Commissioner Kamrun Nahar Siddika, among others, was present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Awami League (AL) general secretary Obaidul Quader said his party is hopeful of victory in the election to Khulna City Corporation (KCC).
