Schedule aimed at holding another unilateral election, says Fakhrul

BNP on Thursday night alleged that the Election Commission has announced the next election schedule to hold another unilateral polls as per the government will, reports UNB.
In an instant reaction at BNP chairperson's Gulshan office, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also said people will not accept any election which is against their hope and aspiration.
"The election schedule was announced to hold a lopsided election which has reflected the government will," he said.
Fakhrul came up with the remarks at a press conference after meeting of the BNP-led 20-party alliance.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda announced the election schedule in a televised address to the nation on Thursday evening that the 11th parliamentary elections will be held on December 23 (Sunday).
He announced that the last date for submitting nomination papers is November 19 while the date for scrutinising nomination papers is November 22 and the last date for the withdrawal of nomination papers is November 29.
