Taking care of the environment during Ramadan

Thursday, 16 May 2019

This year, we experienced a heat wave during the holy month of Ramadan. This tested the patience of people who were fasting. This should push people to do everything necessary to fight the effects of climate change: by planting more trees and reducing pollution.
Prophet Muhammad himself encouraged the planting of trees and nurturing wild life. He had said, "Muslims will always earn the reward of charity for planting a tree, sowing a crop and then birds, humans, and animals eat from it".
We should plant more trees during this Ramadan and also try to reduce pollution as much as possible. Such acts will benefit our surroundings and future generations.
