65 students receive Bank Asia scholarship

A total of 65 meritorious students of Chatkhil, Sonaimury of Noakhali district, Ramgonj, Chandragonj of Lakshmipur district, Hajiganj, Rupsha and Faridgang of Chandpur district on Saturday received scholarship from Bank Asia Foundation.

As a part of corporate social responsibility, Bank Asia arranged the programme, said a statement.

Mr. Rumee A Hossain, former Chairman, Board Executive Committee of Bank Asia and Director, Bank Asia Foundation handed over the scholarship money to the students at a function held at Bhimpur High School ground, Chatkhil, Noakhali. Director of the Rangs Group Ms. Amiran Hossain, President & Managing Director of Bank Asia Mr. Md. Arfan Ali, Deputy Managing Director Mr. Zahirul Alam, Executive Director of Bank Asia Foundation Mr. Aminul Islam, Mr. Najmul Huda Shakil, President Bhimpur High School, Mr. Ikbal Bahar Chowdhury, Officer In-charge, Chatkhil Police Station, Mr. Mohammad Ullah, Mayor, Chatkhil Municipality were, among others present. A large number of people including students, teachers, journalists and local elite attended the function.

A total of 205 students have been selected for Bank Asia Higher Studies Scholarship for the current year.
