Agrani Bank chairman visits GPH Ispat plant

Chairman of the Agrani Bank Ltd Dr Zaid Bakht has visited the GPH Ispat's extended plant at Kumira of Sitakunda

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 26: Chairman of the Agrani Bank Ltd Dr Zaid Bakht has visited the GPH Ispat's extended plant at Kumira of Sitakunda.

During his visit to the plant recently the Agrani Bank chairman praised the venture of the GPH Ispat, the country's first ever steel manufacturing plant that is installing Quantum Ark Furnace, world's ultramodern technology method under the same rooftop in the existing GPH Ispat Plant compound.

"It will be an iconic example to the local entrepreneurs," Dr Zaid Bakht said adding that the state-owned bank is involved in financing the plant.

Welcoming the Agrani Bank chairman, GPH Ispat managing director Mohammed Jahangir Alam said the inspiration of this extended plant of the steel industry has come from the banks and other financial institutions.

The extended plant will create job opportunities for many people, help save huge foreign exchange and add revenue to the national exchequer.

Kamrul Islam FCA, executive director (F&BD) accompanied the GPH chairman during the visit of the Agrani Bank chairman. Later, they participated in a tree plantation programme arranged by the GPH Ispat at the plant site.
