CSE Capital Market & Investment Fair begins February 1

Chittagong, Jan 29: The Chittagong Stock Exchange organises a three day Capital Market and Investment Fair from February 1 in the port city to aware general investors on stock market.

The event will be held at GEC Convention Centre in Chittagong. This will be the sixth capital market & investment fair organised by CSE. The latest fair of the CSE was held in Chittagong in 2015.

The CSE also organised capital market fair in Dhaka in 2014 and Sylhet in 2007.

Managing Director of the CSE Shaifur Rahman Majumdar said this at a Meet the Press at the CSE conference hall at Agrabad here.

As many as 70 companies including stock brokers, merchant bankers, asset management companies, listed companies and other stakeholders will participate in the fair. Lanka Bangla Securities Limited, IDLC Securities, PHP Stock and Securities and ICB Securities are among the major participants in the fair.

Minister of Expatriates' Welfare & Overseas Employment Nurul Islam B.Sc will inaugurate the fair as chief guest while Chairman of Bangladesh Securities & Exchange Commission Dr. M Khairul Hossain will address as special guest.

The first technical session on Infrastructure Financing through capital market will be addressed by State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam MP as chief guest, the second day technical session on Prospects & Challenges of Financing through Capital Market to be addressed as chief guest by BSEC commissioner Swapan Kumar Bala and the third day technical session on Unlocking Potentials of Capital Market to be addressed as chief guest by Finance Minister by A M A Muhith.

Chittagong City Mayor A J M Nasir Uddin, capital market experts and commissioners of BSEC, among others will address the three day fair to be moderated by the Chairman of CSE Dr. A K Abdul Momen, said the CSE Managing Director Shaifur Rahman Majumder.

The best reports in the print, electronic and online media on Bangladesh capital market will be awarded in the fair, he added.

The Meet the Press was also attended by deputy general manager of the CSE Shahroz Alam and assistant general manager Arif Ahmed.
