eGeneration to provide Microsoft solutions to Dutch Bangla Bank

The documents being exchanged after signing an agreement between eGeneration Limited and Dutch Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) in the capital recently, under which eGeneration to provide Microsoft solutions to the bank. The eGeneration Limited, a Licencing Solutions Partner (LSP) of Microsoft Bangladesh, has signed an agreement with Dutch Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) to provide Microsoft solutions, according to a statement.

Chief Business Development Officer of eGeneration Group Monowar Hossain Khan and Head of IT, DBBL Emdadul Haque signed the deal on behalf of their respective organisations at a programme at DBBL's head office at Motijheel in the capital recently.

Sayem Ahmed, Chairman,DBBL; Shameem Ahsan, Chairman, eGeneration Group;Sonia Bashir Kabir, Managing Director, Microsoft Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan & Laos;Abul Kashem Md Shirin, Managing Director, DBBL; SM Ashraful Islam, Executive Vice Chairman,eGeneration Group; Md Abul Kashem Khan, SAVP& Chief Technology Officer, DBBL; and Ziaul Hoque Mallick, Corporate Accounts Lead, Microsoft Bangladesh, were present at the ceremony.

The eGeneration,the country's first software company which is expected to go for initial public offering (IPO), has a major focus on cutting-edge technologies like Blockchain, Data Analytics, AI, etc.

It has a diversified portfolio of clients in countries like USA, UK, UAE, Russia, Uganda, Japan, Canada, Denmark, Philippines, Saudi Arabia and India.

DBBL, one of the leading private banks in Bangladesh, has a strong foothold in the areas of retail and agent banking.

Sonia Bashir Kabir, Managing Director of Microsoft Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan & Laos, shared how Microsoft continues to work with software companies worldwide to build fintech solutions leveraging Internet of Things (IOT), Machine Learning, Artificial Learning and Blockhain.

"We are excited about the local software companies and proud to be a partner to serve DBBL," she said.

eGeneration Group Chairman Shameem Ahsan said: "eGeneration has already been developing blockchain based fintech platform for a Dubai-based company.

"We are also interested to partner up with local financial instituions to utlise our expertise in international market and develop blockchain and data analytics-based fintech platform aligning with the Bangladesh Bank policies."

He said the agreement with DBBL was just a first step towards the partnership for digital transformation.
