Far Chemical makes debut tomorrow

Far Chemical Industries will make its debut share trading Tuesday on the country's both bourses, officials said.

The officials of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) Sunday confirmed the date of the company's debut trading.

Meanwhile, the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) is scheduled to start the trading of Far Chemical on Monday.

"The date of holding the company's debut trading was fixed on July 8 through a discussion between the bourses," a DSE official said.

On January 21 last, the securities regulator approved the IPO (initial public offering) proposal of FAR Chemical Industries which will raise a fund worth Tk 120 million under the fixed price method.

But later, the securities regulator was informed that it earlier filed criminal case against the company's two directors for their involvement with the forgery of Rights shares of RN Spinning.

The information regarding the criminal case was not mentioned in the prospectus of the Far Chemical.
